Concept Design for “Gazeteria” Coffee Shops

Interior architecture proposal for a coffee shop/internet point/newsstand to be annexed to supermarkets in the Polish chain Biedronka.

The shop is characterized by two strong colors, purple and acid green, chosen to address the target market of fast moving young urbanites. Standard shelves are lined up along the walls. The logo I designed takes center stage, appearing in the shelves and in the bar. It also serves as pattern for the wallpaper.

The main piece of furniture is the bar module, designed to offer as much vending surface as possible while retaining a distinctive, podium-like central element marked by the logo and topped by the cash register. This is where all transaction ends.
The logo dominates the shop.

The floor is occupied by the tables and one corner features a raised podium where stools are lined up along the glass wall.

The client requested a revision after deciding to devote less room to the newspapers and much more to the restaurant.

I designed this shop along with the logo while working at NEUMANNBROWN design studio in Krakow.
