Soda Pop Caps
After the Beer Cap Social Icons here’s another set based on the original Chimay Beer Caps. After a welcome suggestion by Dan Wiersema of We Love Icons I created bottle caps for the major soft drinks around today. The odd inclusion is Vita Cola, a blast from my past.
The icon pack includes ICNS (OS X), ICO (Windows) and PNG files, up to 256×256 pixels.
Together with the obvious Coca Cola, Fanta, Sprite and Pepsi caps (including Pepsi’s horrible redesign), the set features Vita Cola, a Coca Cola knockoff created in Eastern Germany in the mid-Fifties under the Communist regime. After 1989 and the fall of the Berlin Wall Vita Cola’s business collapsed but it was brought back in 1994. When I was an exchange student at the Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar in 1998 and 1999 I used to drink it all the time. I even kept a bottle that now sits on a shelf in my bedroom in Milan. A bit of nostalgia for me, yes, but it’s nice to include the odd drink, don’t you think?

Hey, there is some bug with the website field of the comment form.. It automatically adds many http://s at the start of the site.. I realized it as soon as I posted the previous comment… Look at my site in the previous one lol… Or may be it’s just my browser playing weird games with me
It works correctly for me so maybe it’s your browser.
yup.. its happening again.. I am not entering the website when ever I open the page. It’s already present there like my name and email id. But in front of the website, another http:// gets added each and every time I visit this site.. So basically if I post a comment without editing my website url, then the number of http’s in the url will signify my total number of visits in the site lol *Yeah I know am weird * :P
Yup.. I guess so.. Need to clear my cache and cookies! Didn’t do that for a year now…:P
I think it’s ok now.

Corona is a beer, not a soda, so I guess that rules it out. I might do another round of beer caps though sometime.

Are you on Windows or Mac OS? They have different ways of changing icons. Look here:

You’re about the most democratic person on the whole Internet. You apologised for the women’s day icons, you created non-alcoholic icons for us who are straight-edge AND you think modern mainstream music suck, yet you like Zappa and Devo. Just thought I’d point out how amazing, in a good, real way, I find all of that. Complimenti!
Thanks! it might be because Italy, my country, is getting farther and farther away from being democratic lately.
Zappa is NOT mainstream music, though. And Devo has cool outifts and a couple of likeable songs but I don’t like them too much. Mainstream music for me is bands like Coldplay: unoriginal, produced to death, safe, lame and totally boring. But that’s me!
